Drosophila sechellia is a species of fruit fly, used in lab studies of speciation because it can mate with Drosophila simulans. It is endemic to the Seychelles Archipelago. Drosophila sechellia prefers the fruit of Morinda citrifolia as host and has evolved resistance to the toxins in the fruit.
